Summer Job in Electrical Power at Göteborg Energi Nät AB

Your Task

Electrification is one of the most crucial pieces in reaching our energy and climate goals, both in Sweden and globally.

At Göteborg Energi Nät AB (GENAB), we play a central role in the transition to a fossil-free society.

This is a summer job where you will gain practical experience for the future and the opportunity to take responsibility alongside engaged colleagues. Your tasks will include:

• Performing simpler electrical network calculations
• Working in our network management system Dp spatial to register pre-notifications, correct certain documentation, and conduct follow-ups.
• Carrying out investigation assignments that can assist the operation.
• Working on how registers and other systems can be set up for optimal functionality for the administrators.

Your Team

Göteborg Energi Nät AB (GENAB) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Göteborg Energi group, which owns and manages the electrical grid in Gothenburg. GENAB is responsible for the planning, design, and construction of the electrical grid in Gothenburg. As the city grows and digitalization increases, the Electrical Network Operations, along with the electricity market, face new exciting challenges.

You will be part of the Connection department, which is responsible for connecting electrical customers in Gothenburg and planning the electrical grid in both renovation and new construction projects. Here, we work closely together, follow up on customer processes, and drive development projects that shape the future electrical grid.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone studying a post-secondary education in electrical power or similar. We prefer that you are at least two years into your studies.

As a person, you are curious, engaged, and enjoy taking initiative. You thrive in a role where you can combine technology, customer contact, and problem-solving. You appreciate working in a team and see the value in supporting each other and developing together. You have strong communication skills and a sense of service. We also prefer that you have good computer skills and can easily familiarize yourself with different systems.

The job may require traveling between our facilities in Gothenburg, so a valid driver's license (B) is required.
